On August 27, 2025, the "Laboratory Full-Chain Group Standard Seminar," hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory Design and Construction Technology Association, was successfully held at the South China Normal University Building in Guangzhou.
As a member of the association's board of directors and the leader of the Smart Laboratory Group of the Group Standards Committee, Mr. Zhang Yonghua, representing GDYZLAB Laboratory Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "GDYZLAB"), was invited to attend. He joined association leaders, members of the Standards Working Committee, core experts from various professional groups, representatives from universities, research institutes, and medical institutions, as well as invited experts in the field of standardization, to discuss new pathways for the standardized development of laboratory design, construction, operation, and management.

Focusing on Pain Points
This seminar focused on the core theme of "Addressing User Pain Points and Building a Comprehensive Standard System." In his opening remarks, Association President Wei Zhigang profoundly pointed out that despite the continuous expansion of laboratory construction in Guangdong, the industry still faces key challenges such as fragmented standards, difficulties in user decision-making, and weak professional collaboration. He specifically emphasized the common confusions users face in areas such as quantitative assessment of safety risks, avoiding pitfalls in equipment selection, and evaluating the effectiveness of intelligent systems. He believed that this seminar was a crucial step in pooling industry wisdom and promoting the implementation of standardized practices.

Jiang Xudong, Executive Vice President of the association and Chairman of the Group Standards Committee, reported on the progress and plans of the group standards work.
Duan Changqing, Executive Vice President of the association and Chairman of the Technical Committee, focused on the full lifecycle management of laboratories (covering project initiation, design, construction, acceptance, and operation and maintenance), and elaborated on the control requirements, responsible parties, and quantitative acceptance standards at each key node. This aims to address the pain points of "vague milestones and lack of control basis" during project implementation and "difficulty in judgment and lack of basis" during user acceptance.
Zhu Xiaoxi, Executive Vice President of the association and Chairman of the Membership Development Committee, emphasized the importance of focusing on the technical indicators and evaluation standards for laboratory furniture and supporting products, stressing the need to avoid "parameter traps" and ensure clear selection, standardized installation, and reliable operation and maintenance.

Multifaceted Suggestions
User representatives and experts from universities, hospitals, and research institutions spoke about the practical challenges encountered in laboratory selection, acceptance, and operation, providing a "user-centric" basis for standard development. Liao Guifu, a technical expert from the association's standards committee, delivered a presentation on the "Relationship between Standard System Construction and Industry Development," providing an in-depth interpretation of the supporting role of standardization in the high-quality development of the laboratory industry and offering guidance for system construction.

Yizhou's Perspective: Responding to Industry Needs and Jointly Promoting Standard Implementation
As a company deeply rooted in the laboratory equipment field, Yizhou representative Zhang Yonghua actively participated in discussions throughout the entire process. Yizhou deeply understands the challenges users encounter in practical applications, particularly the project node control and quantitative acceptance standards proposed by Chairman Duan Changqing, and the furniture and supporting product selection and evaluation standards emphasized by Chairman Zhu Xiaoxi. These are precisely the directions Yizhou continuously focuses on and strives to optimize in its daily product development, manufacturing, and service.
This meeting integrated the strengths of industry, academia, research, and application, deeply embedding user needs into the core of the standards, laying a solid foundation for building a standardized system covering the entire lifecycle of laboratories.
Yizhou highly recognizes the strategic significance of the association's promotion of group standard development and will fully support the subsequent work of the association's group standard committee, actively participate in standard drafting, contribute Yizhou's professional knowledge and practical experience, and work hand in hand with industry colleagues to jointly promote the Guangdong laboratory industry towards a new stage of more standardized, regulated, and high-quality development!
